Colour Gun (2002)

medium: acrylic on multi-panel canvas, strobe unit
dimensions: 72"W x 71"H

A multi-canvas painting that has been assembled into a single large unit; the centre of the tv screen image has a plastic-rimmed hole embedded in it that constantly emits a strobing light flash. It pulses like a television does, is completely difficult to stare directly at, & gets in the viewer's head as the colours flash on to the retina.
