Family Unit (1993-94)

A series of large print non-portraits, Family Unit plays with the idea of symbolically defacing the essential focus of a portrait, the eyes. When we say "the eyes are the gateway to the soul", we believe that in capturing a persons eyes on film, you can reveal a small glimpse of their inner self; if this is the case, these faces don't reveal anything.
